SEOUL, South Korea – Shiftrick Inc. (CEO, Kelly Choi) is proud to announce the upcoming release of a newly developed indie game, ‘Chunker’, to all PC players available on Steam Early Access beginning on the 17th July(KST 7/17 10 am, PST 7/16 6 pm).

 

Chunker is 2D rogue-lite bullet shooting action game implementing a wide bird’s-eye view system, exhibiting the eager survival and journey of a young mutative living ‘lump’ (Chunker), abandoned into the deep underground World after the reckless destroying of the environment and countless cruel experiments conducted by the humans. 

 

Chunker is a simple and easy game to play, but players can enjoy ‘instant fun’ in

different ways. It released the very first beta gameplay in March and continued to progress in

the input of hard effort to improve the quality and gameplay of the game to perfection

before the VIP test in June.

Chunker will be available not only on Steam Early Access, but can also be purchased on ‘Green Man Gaming’ and ‘Itch.io’. Exclusively on Steam Early Access, there will be a convenient language selection of Korean, English, and Mandarin. Furthermore, it is in the process to enable a joystick and remote playing control system. With these, Chunker will be able to provide players with an easy and absolute gaming experience with minimum difficulty.

<Early Access key contents>

- 8 stages with 4 variety themes are prepared

- 80 types of weapon and 20 Buff items build a synergy to create various attack patterns

- Upgraded Tutorial (Content of interactable object added)

- Newly added NPC, Monsters, and 4 Pets.

- Item collection System: makes the collection more enjoyable.

- Body Modification system: Weapon Type, Ability Statistics can be altered to experience

different playing pattern

- Play Log added: History of NPC Play Log can be checked, History of NPC Adventure,

Death, General Battle Added

- Secret Store: Able to purchase unique equipment for a secret merchant when a specific

condition is met while on the map.

- Game optimized (crash cases improved) and Lag reduces.

- Controller Support: The console controller can be used from the installation to the gameplay.

- Three Languages: Korean, English, Mandarin(Simplified, Traditional) are provided

Shiftrick corp. (CEO Kelly Choi) is a new start-up company founded in March 2018.  

SHIFTRICK is founded in 2018, we are 5 people. Starting members of Shiftrick have an average of 11 years of experience going back to the early 2000s: from working for a large publishing game company to a game developing company. We have been launching and providing service for 15 PC game titles in various countries. We have different experiences from game development, QA to service. We felt the possibility and potential of the global game market. Also, We wanted to find a dream company looking at the members who chase after the ‘fun’ of the game; who find fun in their lives through work; who proactively focus on work. In addition, we thought to myself going through these experiences that I would like to provide cultural content where players from all over the world can play together. Our final goal is to share the universal language of “fun” with players and communicate it through fresh game content and great service quality from our years of experience and Know-how from our time in the game industry.
