Tonight Bethesda Games announced its first-ever virtual reality games---and they're ones you might have heard of.
At its E3 conference tonight, Bethesda Softworks' Pete Hines dropped the news that that the company was releasing its first-ever VR titles: Doom, and Fallout 4.
According to Hines, Fallout 4 will be released on the HTC Vive in 2017. A platform and release date were not confirmed for Doom.
Bethesda's choice of backing the HTC Vive for Fallout 4 is an interesting choice, as it's the most expensive VR platform and possibly the one that will see the lowest market share. Though it's possible the choice to not ship for Oculus may relate to Zenimax's ongoing lawsuit with Facebook over John Carmack.
Nevertheless, this would currently be one of the largest games shipping for a VR platform, and possibly one that could attract stronger consumer interest for the HTC Vive.
