Brace yourself: E3 is here.

This week, tens of thousands of game industry professionals are converging on the L.A. Convention Center and the surrounding area for the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo, where many of the industry's major players will be detailing their product strategies for the rest of 2012 and beyond.

Beginning Monday, Gamasutra's editorial staff will be on location at E3 with on-site coverage of breaking events, interviews, and in-depth analysis tailored for our unique audience of game industry professionals.

Gamasutra readers can follow E3-specific news in this year's dedicated Gamasutra E3 2012 page, in association with outsourcing production firm Virtuos.

All three hardware manufacturers -- Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo -- will deliver platform-oriented press conferences during the week, while major third parties Electronic Arts and Ubisoft will hold individual conferences to discuss their upcoming lineups.

The full press conference schedule, to be attended by Gamasutra, includes the following:

-Monday, 9:30 AM PDT: Microsoft Press Conference
-Monday 1:00 PM PDT: Electronic Arts Press Conference
-Monday, 3:00 PM PDT: Ubisoft Press Conference
-Monday, 6:00 PM PDT: Sony Press Conference
-Tuesday, 9 AM PDT: Nintendo Press Conference [UPDATE: We're Tweeting live from Nintendo's E3 press conference.]

On top of breaking news from these conferences, Gamasutra will provide fast, in-depth analysis of the strategies for these major video game companies.

In addition, with the E3 show floor opening at the Los Angeles Convention Center at noon on Tuesday, further announcements and coverage of new projects and games will debut on Gamasutra throughout the week. We'll see you there!
