Gaming for 30 years.  First platform owned was the NES.  I am interested in development, gameplay, new technologies, and video game history.  Currently I am studying the Unity Game Engine. 

I am interested in making a game for children.  I am a father of 3 girls and would like to build something that encourages them to learn and get involved with games and technology.  I would also like to familiarize myself with Unreal and flesh out some more mature game ideas I have down the road.  I love the idea that any world you want to play in or any story you want to see play out can be realized in game design.  You can build the world you want to live in and experience.  Then people give you money for it!  That is incredibly personal and wonderful.  It's one art form where the context is the developer's mind.  Whereas anything else the context is external.  For example, architecture is all about the site buildings are designed on and the clients' needs and wants.  Automotive it is all about aerodynamics and human ergonomics.  Games are a wild card and can go anywhere.  

Right now games I am playing through when I am not working, studying, or spending time with family are Hollow Knight on Switch, Witcher 3 on PC, and occasionally I'll fire up Skyrim which is also played on PC.  My favorite independent studio is Raw Fury.  For triple A I am really impressed with CD Projekt Red.  Bethesda's work is what inspired me to get into development.  I'm really impressed with Microsoft's recent acquisition of Zenimax and is one of the reason's I will probably make my next console a Series X.
